Designer and Manufacturer of Universal Marine Fuel Management Systems
FuelTrax® was first designed and engineered in the field as a project for Kirby Corporation, the largest inland waterway operator in North America. Kirby approached Control Dynamics International (CDI), an engineering and control systems company that specialized in offshore automation and control systems, to help them measure fuel consumption on inland push boats.
As the initial project grew in scope, CDI company management determined that they no longer had a project, but a unique product offering for the commercial marine market. To best serve this untapped market, a fully dedicated staff would be necessary. Investment capital was sought and the establishment of Nautical Control Solutions, LP (NCS) was created in 2006 as a spin-off of CDI. United States patent protection was granted in 2006 with Canadian and European Union protection following in 2012.
From its humble beginnings as a simple fuel consumption data gathering box to the total fuel accountability solution it is today, FuelTrax customers benefit from the real world experiences gathered and incorporated into the product from some of the industry’s leading commercial vessel operators.
Today, FuelTrax and the web reporting service FuelNet™ is the leading real-time solution for marine fuel management and reporting. It is also the only universal fuel management system that can be applied to a diversified fleet of marine vessels, meaning its use is vessel-engine-fuel neutral.
NCS continues this successful track record with new product offerings such as BunkerTrax™, CargoTrax™, and TankTrax™ – with even more products in the pipeline.
